Artisan Model 1023 Vector Plotter carries a low price while combininghigh performance with quality output. The Artisan plots on cut-sheetmedia ranging from smaller than ANSI size A (ISO A4) to larger than ANSIsize D (ISO A1). It produces check plots to final plots on several typesof paper and film with a great variety of pens.The Artisan plots at speeds of up to 30 inches per second on axis and 42inches per second at a 45-degree angle. CalComp's second-generationPlotManager firmware substantially increases throughput by minimizing penmovement and pen changes.An optional 1- or 2-MB memory expansion cartridge permits downloading ofentire plot files from the host computer for storage in the Artisan.CalComp Artisan features a newly-designed rotating pen turret that housesup to eight pens in any combination of type, color, or tip width. When aspecific pen is called for, the plotter's low-mass carriage penholdermoves swiftly to the turret and makes the exchange. The pen type issensed automatically and the required parameter adjustments are made forpen force, velocity, and acceleration.
